TREATMENT DESCRIPTIONS
Dental consultation:
A consultation is an opportunity where you can ask your dentist anything regarding your teeth and oral health. If you're curious about the condition of your oral cavity, whether you need orthodontics, or how missing teeth can be replaced, request a consultation! In our clinic, the consultation includes: egy CBCT-felvétel elkészítését is, ami nagy részletességgel mutatja meg a fogazatának állapotát.

Dental filling:
A filling refers to the process of restoring a damaged tooth using a filling material. These damages are usually caused by decay, but tooth loss can also occur due to accidents, acidic erosion, or teeth grinding. In our clinic, we use two types of filling materials. Glass ionomer fillings are slightly matte and strongly white, and we primarily use them in the back regions. A major advantage of these fillings is that they release fluoride, which helps prevent further decay of the remaining tooth material. On the other hand, composite fillings are highly aesthetic, and we have various shades available. However, not all filling materials are suitable for every case, and your dentist will decide which one to use based on what is most appropriate and comfortable for you.

Dental veneer:
A veneer is an aesthetic layer on the outer surface of the teeth. Veneers can be made in a dental lab (e.g., porcelain veneers) or directly in the mouth using aesthetic filling materials. In our clinic, we create the latter. During the process, a thin layer is shaved off the tooth’s surface, and then the color and shape of the tooth can be modified using different shades of filling materials. Whether it’s just one tooth that looks different for some reason or an entire smile, these materials can create a natural-looking effect.

Root canal treatment:
Inside the tooth is the so-called pulp, which is a vascular and nerve structure that keeps the tooth alive. During a root canal treatment, this is removed from the tooth, and then the canal, where it was located, is widened to fit the shape of the root filling that will be placed in it. Root canal treatment is most often necessary due to some form of inflammation. This inflammation typically occurs when tooth decay reaches the pulp, infecting it with bacteria, but pulp inflammation can also occur in people who grind their teeth excessively due to the heavy strain. It can also happen that root canal treatment is performed on a healthy tooth as part of preparing dental prosthetics or as a preventive measure, but there is always a good reason for this, and your dentist will inform you.

Professional Dental Hygiene Treatment

During a professional dental hygiene treatment, the dentist or dental hygienist thoroughly cleans the teeth from plaque and tartar, which cannot be removed through home care. The treatment includes the removal of tartar using an ultrasonic device or manual tools, as well as polishing the surface of the teeth. Additionally, our colleague provides advice on improving individual oral care techniques and selecting the appropriate tools.
This treatment is extremely important because it helps prevent tooth decay, gingivitis, and more severe periodontal diseases. Regular professional cleaning contributes to fresh breath, healthier gums, and the long-term preservation of teeth. Additionally, our colleague can detect and treat early-stage problems, thus avoiding more serious procedures later. It is recommended to undergo this treatment at least every six months to a year to maintain comprehensive oral hygiene.
X-ray, CBCT
A panoramic X-ray is an imaging procedure that displays the entire dentition, jawbones, and surrounding tissues in a single image. This method provides the dentist with a quick overview of the patient's oral cavity and helps identify hidden issues more easily, such as tooth decay, root abnormalities, or bone loss. However, since the curved jawbone and surrounding tissues are projected onto a two-dimensional image, there are potential margins for error.
Dental CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) is a specialized three-dimensional imaging technology that provides a much more detailed view of the oral cavity than a panoramic X-ray. With CBCT, the dentist can accurately examine the structure of the teeth and bones, as well as the position of the tooth roots, nerves, and blood vessels. This allows for a more precise diagnosis and safer planning and execution of more complex dental procedures, such as implant placement or root canal treatment.

Teeth whitening
A healthy and beautiful smile is an important part of a confident appearance, and teeth whitening can be a great help in achieving this. You can choose between two main options: in-office whitening and at-home whitening. Both methods are effective, but there are some important differences between them that are worth considering.
In-office teeth whitening provides fast and noticeable results. We use a special, higher-concentration whitening agent that is activated with an LED light. The procedure takes about half an hour and delivers immediate results, often lightening the tooth color by several shades. For at-home whitening, a custom tray is made, which needs to be filled with the whitening gel, and this tray should be worn on the teeth according to the manufacturer's instructions (we work with various types of whitening agents). The at-home method is slower but can be done comfortably, fitting into your own schedule.
Both methods work with peroxide compounds, which penetrate the enamel and remove the discoloration that has accumulated there. This effectively whitens the teeth, but it is important to know that whitening cannot be repeated indefinitely. After a certain point, whitening not only removes stains but can also damage the enamel, leading to tooth sensitivity and possible damage.
Before starting teeth whitening with either method, it is important that the teeth and gums are healthy. Therefore, tartar must first be removed, and any decay must be treated. If the teeth are not properly treated, sensitivity or even more serious issues may arise during whitening. Clean, healthy teeth also ensure the effectiveness and durability of the whitening process.
Both methods are safe, but it is important to undergo the treatment under the guidance of your dentist to achieve the desired result while maintaining the health of your teeth. If you have any questions, we are happy to help you choose the solution that is best for you.

Digital dentistry
Digital dentistry is one of the most modern technologies today, significantly simplifying and speeding up dental treatments. We also use these advanced procedures in our clinic to provide you with the most comfortable and accurate care possible.
When a dental prosthesis is needed, for example, we use an intraoral scanner to take a digital impression of your teeth. This means that there is no need for traditional impression materials, which can often be uncomfortable. The digital impression process is quick and accurate, and the result can be immediately displayed on the computer.
Based on the digital impression, our milling machine uses the most modern CAD/CAM technology to create the dental prosthesis, such as a crown or bridge. With the Chairside CAD/CAM system, the final crown can be ready in as little as 1-1.5 hours, meaning you won’t have to wait days or wear a temporary crown. This technology is not only fast but also extremely precise, ensuring that the dental prosthesis fits perfectly and remains comfortable in the long term.
Digital dentistry is not only faster but also more comfortable and accurate, ensuring that you receive the highest quality and most advanced care possible.
